Readers of this website and the people I train often ask me about online yoga resources. While playing around on YouTube, I found this free online yoga video that is really great. It’s a complete power yoga workout that is 75 minutes long.
I’ve watched the entire thing and definitely give it my stamp of approval. If you have a home yoga practice, I’m sure that you’ll love it.
The instructor is Mark Gonzales, who is a Yoga Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Holistic Lifestyle Coach residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. He’s been featured in Yoga Journal magazine and is the 2011 & 2012 Yoga Journal Talent Search Finalist.

It’s great to have a home yoga practice because it’s not always convenient or economical to make it to a studio. Although in-person instruction is important, I also believe that it’s important to explore a bit on your own.
Power yoga is a really athletic form of yoga, but don’t let that stop you if you’re just getting into it, or trying to get into better shape.
When people ask me about videos on yoga that they can use to begin their home practice, I usually refer them to my favorite one – Bryan Kest Power Yoga Complete Collection. There are three workouts in the Bryan Kest video of varying difficulty, all about 45 minutes in length.
As for the yoga video embedded here, I would suggest that you be in decent physical condition or at an intermediate to advanced level of yoga practice.
Even though I teach yoga and build my own sequences, sometimes I still enjoy not thinking about what comes next and just following along to the guidance of another instructor. So, it’s really cool to have a few yoga DVDs or other streaming yoga videos to turn to once in a while.
Try it out and let me know what you think. Also, I’m really curious to hear about any videos that you’ve come across and really enjoy. Let me know about them in the comments below!
