Here I am on Christmas Eve, and I’m writing what I feel will be my last post for this website for 2011. Next week I will be doing something that I have not done since launching this site in June of this year. I will be taking an entire week off from it.
I’ll be back after the first of the year to help get things back on track and to contribute in any way that I can to help you to be your best selves.
As the year is coming to a close and those that we care about are in our thoughts, I can’t help but reminisce about where I’ve been – not just this year, but in life – and where I want to go, and all of the people that have played a part in that.
You see, for a very long time I’ve plotted my course in life by knowing what I didn’t want to be. It was always easier to know what I didn’t want as opposed to what I did want. Maybe some of you have felt or feel this way. It’s not a bad thing or a good thing; it’s just the way it is sometimes.
Over the past year I’ve come to realize – for possibly the first time – exactly what I want and what I need to do to get there. I’ll tell you one thing: it feels really good to have a solid sense of direction!
I’m excited about this direction and the work that lays ahead of me. I’m looking forward to 2012 and adding more content to this website, and providing you with motivation and information that will help you in your own quests to become better versions of yourselves.
I guess what I’m really trying to say is THANK YOU!
Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing, thank you for following, thank you for your love of exercise! Without it in my life, I would be a different person, and your engagement with me here propels me to take my own fitness to a higher level.
Be safe everyone and I’ll see you in the new year!
