This guy makes this incredibly challenging pull up exercise look easy. The cool thing about this video is that the trainer demonstrates various methods, from beginner to advanced.
The muscle up is a brutal upper bodyweight exercise. It’s essentially a pull up and a dip combined. When I use words like challenging, tough, insane, difficult, and OMG to describe this exercise, I’m not kidding! It’s freaking hard! I don’t even want to think about how challenging it is to do this with rings like an Olympic gymnast. Those people make that look easy too.
The hardest part of this exercise is the moment when you are transitioning from below the pull up bar, to above the bar. There are a lot of muscles engaged and working at that point in the exercise.
Now I know that everyone has their opinions about which exercises are the best for overall displays of strength. If you ask me though, I’d say that no other movement can deliver the same upper body strength!
