Today’s video, Kettlebell Swing With Band Resistance, is brought to you by YouTube channel wtflemin.
Reading other fitness blogs and websites, and watching exercise videos plays a big part in motivating myself to work out, and stay on top of my fitness. I’ve been doing this weekly video post so that I can share some of the good clips that I’ve found with my audience here on JohnnyFit.
I’m sure at some point in time, this will become a semi-weekly series, but so far I’ve been consistent in finding something that I want to share.
Kettlebell Swing Using Resistance Bands
After coming across a random video of a guy doing a kettlebell swing with a resistance band, I searched a little more on YouTube and found this one that I decided to use for this week’s post.
The reason I chose this video is because it allows you to see how the resistance band is connected to the kettlebell, as well as how the movement is performed. Using the strength band with kettlebell in this swing variation, allows you to use greater resistance, without having a heavier kettlebell.
Another thing about this video that intrigued me, was simply the use of the resistance band. Out of all of the equipment that I have access to in my Portland bootcamps, the resistance band is probably the one piece of equipment that I rarely use.
I’ve just never really used them in my own training, but now my interest is growing. I’m curious to find some creative and challenging ways to utilize them.
Do you use resistance bands in your training? What are your thoughts on them? I’d love to hear about it in the comments section below!
Let me know if you have any questions about this video, or have a great clip you’d like me to add to this video series!
